Ugandans Do Not Support Invisible Children Or Kony 2012 Propaganda

Despite people in the west being naive enough to buy into the propaganda behind Kony 2012, it appears Ugandans are far smarter than those who think they can save them.

A screening was arranged for Ugandans to see the film, but they soon realised that the it was not about their suffering and everything to do with someone making money off of their pain;

One man said;

“There are some kinds of people, some kind of NGO who are trying to mobilize funds using the atrocities committed in northern Uganda,”

Another Ugandan man even complained about people wearing t-shirts with Kony’s face on it;

“if people in those countries care about us they will not wear t-shirts with pictures of Joseph Kony on them for any reasons”

By the end of the screening, people were so disgusted by the film they began throwing rocks at the screen and it had to be stopped early.

I am really divided on my emotions after seeing the reaction from the Ugandan people.

On hand i feel so happy that they see this for what it is, but on the other hand i question  what has happened to people in the west that stops us thinking for ourselves.

As we reported yesterday, the film is being used to create legislation which will start an invasion of Africa and no doubt the oil will be stolen along with other resources.
