Afghan Shooter Didn’t Act Alone

An investigation by the Afghan parliament in to the massacre of 16 people by a solider has concluded that more than 1 solider was involved.

One of lawmakers, investigator Hamizai Lali said;

“We are convinced that one soldier cannot kill so many people in two villages within one hour at the same time, and the 16 civilians, most of them children and women, have been killed by the two groups,”

“If the international community does not play its role in punishing the perpetrators, the Wolesi Jirga [parliament] would declare foreign troops as occupying forces,”

Witnesses had previously said they saw around 20 drunk soldiers shooting and not 1, another man even said he was a revenge attack.

Afghan President Hamid Karzai, who asked for NATO troops to leave villages yesterday has said;

This has been going on for too long. This is by all means the end of the rope here,”

  1. As an American, I am appalled by the killings. Whether by a one man or a group of US military personnel, I agree all perpetrators should be disciplined harshly. Furthermore, all associates of the one named gunman, whether they be found guilty or not, should be docked one week’s pay – to be given to the victims’ surviving family members.
