Occupy London Camp Destroyed

Riot police have destroyed the occupy London camp, which was home to some 70 activists and was based outside St Paul’s Cathedral.

At 12am riot police began moving people away from the area and dismantled the camp which was created in protest of the current corruption in the banking industry and politics.

The camp was created last October to show that the majority of the country were tired of the mega rich getting away with fraud and being helped by politicians.

The destruction comes after a court hearing found that the right to protest didn’t include a camp on a public highway.

An absolute disgrace, yet another example of the fascist policies held by the government here in the UK. However they can knock them down but the protests won’t end and the resolve of the people grows daily.

      Hi Gavin,

Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable. John F. Kennedy, – This sums up my feelings, the occupy protests didn’t hurt anyone but those who were corrupt and yet they have been moved, what does that say for our society when peaceful movements are destroyed and corrupt banks are rewarded.
